It lives up to its purpose, and I can't help but be amazed at how much dust it gathers from my couch, mattress, and bedding. The machine is quite sturdy and needs both hands to maneuver, which gets pretty heavy after 10 mins of vaccuming. I don't mind the loud noise it makes. What I really appreciate is that it's cordless and doesn't rely on a battery so I don't have to worry about recharging. The long cord makes it easy to reach all around the room, from the bed to the carpet and the couch. I'm a bit skeptical about the light indicator, since it only flashed yellow/orange once and mostly stayed blue. The UV light doesn't seem to produce much heat (about 60 degrees??) and although the bedding felt warm, I’d probably run it multiple times for extra peace of mind. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. Its portability makes it ideal for travel, which was another reason for buying it..but it's main purpose is reduce dust mites and pet dander in my kid's room
